Maybe so Michel.....but it was great back then.  There was also Cost Plus, which I really like.  They still have them in the States, and I never miss an opportunity to go to one when I can.  Eclectic stuff from all over the world....and their import foods section is AWESOME.  We once got cases of beer for a few friends.  There were 12 different beers....each one from a different country.  The case itself was cool too.

A weird gift, but everyone who got them really loved them.  One of our friends had a beer tasting party.....each person sampled shot glasses of each beer.

There's a Pier 1 in Bellingham that I much prefer than up here.  Prices are almost half the price.  There isn't a lot of selection of things.  I only buy their weed diffuser... the citrus one...smells divine!

My guy and I used to spend hours walking around strip malls and checking out stores that had unique home and gift things.  Broadway/Granville has some awesome lil shops.  I miss those days.  We'll do it again this summer.

Last week, I was to go to Queensborough's Walmart but accidentally drove to HomeSense instead that was on Marine and Byrne.  I thought Walmart was there!  Every other big store was occupying that new space.   I ended up walking out with too many things from HomeSense....

It looks like JYSK.

The closest one is in Tacoma... past the Outlets.. too far from Bellingham. :(   But, we'll be heading down to Seattle later and will surely check that out.

P.C.

A teeny bit like Jysk.  But it's a world market, so there are so many unique things there from everywhere.  I particularly like their international foods section.  Not only is there a massive variety, they also have a whole section of the mini sizes of things....perfect for putting together a personalized basket of goodies.

Wow.  So you get up and open the window (in the middle of the night, in winter) so you can stretch out your legs?
