Any stories or recommendations?

I haven't Lil Me....but I have a friend who goes every year. She swears by it. Aside from it's beauty, she says tourists are treated extremely well. She has the option of going just about anywhere she wants, but she always chooses Cuba.

No, but I've heard it's quite a great place to go on a vacation. Great if you're not American.

No been, but I'd love to go. I've heard rapturous stories from everyone I know who's been there.

That's risky Michel. The Feds know about 'plane jumping' so a lot of border officials now are at the gate in flights from Canada and Mexico to Cuba. Its silly.

actually you will. Border agents from the US are at those gates checking passports (plained clothed of course) if they see an american passport they snatch you. I'm not making this up. Look at any travel guide to Cuba as an American, they'll talk about the border agent in Mexico City or Montreal or Toronto because they know people are flight hopping.

Yup. I can get on a direct flight to Hanoi or Shanghai but no no Cuba baaaaad.
NIMBY's.
Pretty soon that flight from Caracas will also be banned.
Doesn't matter anyway won't need the US for much of anything in the future.

Thanks everyone. I'm now looking at central america. I can fly to the Southern US on airmiles, and hopefully find a deal on flights after that.

lol the southern u.s. is an adventure all itself.
Although its not as bad as it was maybe 10-15 years ago. A lot of 'yankees' have moved down there and are disrupting the 'native' population with there 'liberal ways'
Black man still can't get elected to the Senate though. Although Republicans had to go to racist ads to beat Ford in Tennessee
