That's good to hear Marik.  Although we weren't sure what we wanted.....we knew it was going to be a Canon.  Every bit of online research we did, Canon was always at the top of the list.

Sure wish I could have gotten a picture of that hawk.

Mr LM used to have an older version of that camera and loved it.  It fit in his pocket, so he carried it around all the time (unlike current Fuji camera which is bulky as heck).

ADD: The only problem he had with the Canon Powershot was the moving parts in the lens mechanism.  It eventually got clogged with sand from the Gobi desert and crapped out.

That's good to hear Lil Me.....well not good that your camera got clogged.....but good to know that we'll need to take extra care in that area.

I also have the older 4 mega pixel Powershot which I bought several years ago for around $400.......only problem I had was one of the tiny plastic hinges on the door of the battery compartment broke shortly after I had the camera.  The door flips open and power off at the most ill opportune times.  Otherwise its a nice simple to operate camera

Hey, we have a Canon as well.  I have the 5 megapixal one, easy share C530.  It does the job but later, we're going to upgrade as well.

Great choice on that camera, PC.

Sounds like a general thumbs up on the Canon.
