OpenMoko: Linux-based $300 open smartphone
The OpenMoko is a $300, Linux-based open smartphone. Unlike the iPhone, it doesn't come locked to any provider (like AT&T), it doesn't come with any DRM, and it allows you to install any third party application you want. It's still in developer preview, but I tell ya, this could just be my next phone.

The Neo 1973 has the following hardware specifications
[ul][li]* 2.8" VGA TFT color display[/li][li]     * Touchscreen, usable with stylus or fingers[/li][li]     * 266MHz Samsung System on a Chip (SOC)[/li][li]     * USB 1.1, switchable between Client and Host (unpowered)[/li][li]     * Integrated AGPS[/li][li]     * 2.5G GSM – quad band, voice, CSD, GPRS[/li][li]     * Bluetooth 2.0[/li][li]     * Micro SD slot[/li][li]     * High Quality audio codec   [/li][/ul]
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.
