Does anyone else watch this great show??? It's on Mondays at 9:00 PM, channel 13 (CITY) or 28 (FOX) I believe, for those who have cable. I recommend it to everyone except those who are easily offended!!

Gordon is hysterical but his BBC show is funnier, no censors.
And he's less repundent as well in the BBC show. He goes to struggling restaurants throughout the UK and tries to fix them. Its very entertaining. His fox show looks like they're just playing off his temper.

I'm not easily offended......but I find that guy way beyond offensive.  If being rude, obnoxious, sexist, a certified bully plus an overdeveloped sense of sarcasm, were requirements for being a good chef , he MUST BE the best.  I couldn't learn from (nor work for)  someone like that. (I think I might even be frightened to eat any of his food)

Sorry Marik. [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/froehlich/c020.gif" border=0]   I think it just must be one of those love it or hate it type of shows.

 Yeah he is repulsive. lol
A famous food critic said something hysterical about Ramsay.
Found the quote: Its from A.A. Gill who is a famous food critic said: "Ramsay is a wonderful chef, just a really second-rate human being."
hahaha lol

I watch Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.

I like it. The only problem with using that fricken word so much is it loses it's impact it's supposed to have. It just becomes a tirade of profanities.
"I used to rock and roll all night and party every day, then it was every other day.  Now I'm lucky if I can find half an hour a week in which to get funky."

That's excellent SD !  Sums it up pretty well.  I think a chef can't be a chef alone though.  He needs a sous chef and to work directly with other people.  How can he manage this?

God help him....I hope he makes his own coffee.

That is an excellent quote sums up a lot of egotistical folks as well. Yeah your really good at what you do but you push people away with your personality. Like Scrouge in "A Christmas Carol".

I love Gordon! Super fantastic chef. Having said that tho, I wouldn't want to work under him. What a nightmare!

I saw an episode the other day for a litle bit.  It was interesting.  I liked how blunt and direct he was.

Sportsdude

Hell's Kitchen is his 'lite' version as Schadey said. Watch his BBC show and you'll be shocked.

Really SD?

I find it sad that we glorify and idolize dispicable behaviour.  How do these people gather a following.  Is it just shock value or something ?  It confuses the heck out of me.

Frankly I think that its because we are bored with our own mundane lives so we live vicariously through other celebrities or so called people. People aren't happy anymore because they've become superficial through the commericialization brought on by capitalism.
Plus Ramsey would have a following here because he cusses. The US culture has always been gun ho on people who are rebels especially on tv and movies. The more you cuss the better because that's cool. I think this stems from the censorship laws here. While someone on CTV News or CBC The National can say an expletive and its not bleeped nor nobody cares down here its cutting edge because its technically illegal.
Plus my generation has become depoliticalized so they don't really have a 'cause' in life so they're in my opinion bums or 'know nothings' who just take life as it is and give up.

Me. I'm just up for cheap thrills. Go Gordan Go Gordan!

Er. I never turn up the volumn when I watch his show. Hehe. I just turn on the close caption.

nah SD you're looking into this too deeply.. there's just a lack of good TV shows!
A BBC show? Thanks, I'll look for it but I like the whole contest idea better...

Gordon is a champion. He calls the action as he sees it and doesn't hold back.

He is an excellent role model and his films should be shown in all schools as the correct way to behave.

He would be well and truly appreciated in Aussie. I am very similiar to him except i can't cook.
