She may be a celeb but she's no SuperHero Member of DS!

Or anything else, for that matter.  She gives blondes a bad name.

I've permenantly boycotted Hilton hotels because of her. I'm surprised her parents haven't stepped in and said stop it earlier because she's always linked to the hotel chain.

It's a pity she weren't REALLY linked to some chain or other - then again, it may be coming soon.

well she represents the brand name even if they deny it. Everytime they mention her on tv the hotel is always attached.

Someobody has to think that that's not good for a business image.

You people are so mean spirited!  Sure, she deserves to go to jail because she could have killed somebody on the road, but what does it say about you when you take pleasure in someone else's suffering?

Ummm, that we're happy when someone who "could have killed somebody" goes to jail? If that's "mean spirited", give me my merit badge!
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

I think the biggest crime here is that she has achieved celebrity status for being a rich, spoiled, party animal.....although that is not really her crime.

well she achieved celebrity status because somebody released a really bad sex tape weeks before her tv show was going to air. There by getting her in the news and interest into her tv show which got good ratings and the rest was history.

Paris is probably more interested in Tiffani chains than her own hotel chains! ;)

Why all the hate?  She's rich and she parties a lot.  Oh, the horror!  So nobody else is trying to become rich?  Nobody else likes to party?  If you were in her shoes, what would you do?  Work at some cubicle job for $32,000 a year?

No hate here QE.  My point was more to the effect that people don't become celebrities without peolple like 'you and me'.  If she has achieved this status.....'we' have put her there.

If people wanted to raise me to celebrity status for just doing what I like to do....is that my fault....or their fault.  I think it just gets tiresome to watch this cycle repeatedly.....raise people up....slap 'em down.

I personally don't think that anyone should be glorified for nothing more than a lifestyle.....so I try not to contribute to it, by watching shows or buying products that promote or support them.

There are plenty of rich and famous kids who couldn't pull this off.  Could you imagine Chelsea Clinton tearing up the party circuit?  Or what about those fat slobs - Ozzy Osbourne's kids?  Paris made $6.5 million in 2005, virtually more than any other kid her age (or any other age for that matter):

Like I said before, she deserves to go to jail.  I agree that she may have not done anything to deserve her fame, and that in a way she is a creation of ours, but what about William Hung?  That kid has made at least seven figures!

Even if Paris wasn't famous, she'd still be partying buying nice things etc.  That's life.  Some have it better, some have it worse.  Deal with it.  If anything, it should give people hope that Paris has achieved such a level of fame without any real talent.  If people only got what they deserved, where would you be?  Do you really think you're better than that cab driver who was a doctor in their mother country?

P.C.

Um....I don't think I'm implying that I'm better than anybody (at least that wasn't my intention).  Again I was merely pointing out that 'we' complain about the Paris Hiltons of the world, when they are in fact made by 'us'.  That's all.  A person can not become famous alone.
