uh, which pictures? remind me? if you mean pics from here.. its the rainy season so its almost always crummy weather and they dont like you taking pictures of the city im at.. they will take your camera away and fine you. its africa remember.

well.. its nearer the end of october to be honest.. ive just gotten onboard last week and already have my flight details to go home? lol!

YEs things are going well thus far. Its been a confusing last few weeks.. but at least tongiht we had a bbq! And I was not allowed to go near it. The guys onboard from teh states had it in hand, and sent me to read a book. lol.

The french customs are pretty funny.

"Are you immigrating here"

"no.. Im just staying the night cause I missed my flight"

"Where is your work visa? Are you staying here more than three weeks?"

"no.. I missed my flight due to snow delays out of montreal.. heres my ticket for tomorrow and my hotel reservation for the night"

"You need a visa to work in France"

"I missed my flight. Im staying in an Airport hotel for 20 hours"

"So you are sure you arent working here or trying to claim asylum status <insert french language statement continuation here>"

"NO! I am a white english speaking Canadian, my flight details are right on that funny paper in front of you. I leave tomorrow for Africa"

"ok sir.. have a pleasant stay in France. If you stay more than three weeks and try to claim immigrant status you will be arrested and this is going on your record"

"Uh.. ok. Thanks for your help?"

Next Day

"Where were you yesterday? You were supposed to fly yesterday" (I had my same ticket from yesterday which was rebooked for today.. just not on the ticket)

"I missed my flight and head to be rebooked yesterday due to me missing my connection due to snow"

"Theres no snow here!"

"Uh, right.. It was from my last flight out of montreal"

"Ok sir... theres something here about you wanting to stay longer?"

"No.. see you in two months"

"Have a pleasant flight"

Heya PC.

Yeah... all the airports have english 'speakers' and announcements as well.. just not always the comprehension, lol.

Things should be interesting.. There was apparently a major equipment breakdown yesterday so i will be working a long time tomorrow to fix it. <sigh> the joys of my job...
