All I remember was thinking how pathetic the whole thing was. It made Vancouver look like a crying, hissy fit throwing, baby. But, as always, it is a few asshats out of a bunch to wreck it for everyone.

 It was. Thats how it was portrayed on the news internationally as well.

  We went downtown cause we thought we were going to win so it was going to be awesome.. then we lost, and we stayed around cause of the crowds.

hmm never saw a mention of it here.
Not trying to stir up a debate on us-canadian relations but I doubt anyone here would care about Canada. Never understood why Canada cares so much about the US. Its like a divorce and somebody still loves the other person while the other completely hates the other person.
