Legendary Dick Dale has some advice for new music artists: "Don't sign with a label, they'll get every penny, screw you over and you won't see anything -- in fact, if you make them $14,000,000, you'll end up owing them $2,000,000 more."
He suggests artists go indie, make their own CDs, sell them out of the trunks of their cars, and stop trying to make the cover of Rolling Stone. Harsh stuff, but this guy should know...
