    Chocolate Christ: cancelled

Artist [a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);" href="http://www.cosimocavallaro.com/"]Cosimo Cavallaro[/a]'s 200 pound, milk chocolate sculpture of Christ was scheduled to be exhibited at Manhattan's Lab Gallery next week but the Roger Smith Hotel (where the showing was to take place) [a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);" href="http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/03/30/chocolate.jesus.ap/"]cancelled the show today[/a]. A bunch of uptight Christian zealots complained and complained and complained until the hotel finally caved in and cancelled the showing. Apparently the idea of a chocolate Christ is blasphemous, but I always considered chocolate to be heavenly!

Bill Donohue, head of the watchdog Catholic League, said it was "one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever." [span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"](Really? Worse than the [/span][a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255); font-weight: bold;" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piss_Christ"]Christ In Piss[/a][span style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"] art thingy?) [/span]Wow, that's baaaaaaaaaaad!!
