This sounds like a joke, but it's being reported by the Houston Chronicle: The USPS is removing clocks from post offices in order to allow customers to better "focus on the postal service." [blockquote]"We want people to focus on postal service and not the clock," said Stephen Seewoester, Dallas spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service.[/blockquote] The USPS has removed clocks from 37,000 post offices as part of a "retail standardization program." Um, correct us if we're wrong here but: • People carry timepieces.[/p] •The post office is not a casino. People aren't going to lose themselves in the fun and mail more letters than they'd originally intended.[/p] Is this the best they can come up with?[/p][hr style="width: 100%; height: 2px;"]
I agree. If only there were a way for people to actually CARRY a clock with them, but I guess that would be kind of bulky and inconvenient. It's too bad somebody can't figure out how to MINIATURIZE a clock so it could be easily carried. Maybe you could even WEAR a tiny clock on a necklace, or even a bracelet, so you could tell what time it was not matter where you were. It's too bad we have to count on the grace of big, impersonal corporations like banks to provide us with access to timekeeping equipment.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

LOL.....that's hilarious TehBorken.

I wonder if they'd make their employees leave their PURSES at the door ?

Sir Isaac Newton invented the swinging door....for the convenience of his cat.

Our doctor's office do not carry any clocks at all. I guess they don't really want their patients to know how truly LATE they have to wait.
