I've officially gone a week being vegetarian in the land of cows, pigs, and bbq'd chickens. And they say it couldn't be done! (I've decided to bring my Canadian habits and lifestyle south of the border; in Canada, I'm a vegetarian 95% of the time.)

Why? I was always the one at Thanksgiving who kept having seconds of side dishes and not the turkey.

I just bought my textbooks for the two distance ed classes I'm taking this fall. The total cost was more than the money I spent on my 11 day vacation.

I'm also less interested in red meat as well. About once a month, I like a good piece of t-bone steak because I think I should at least have some red meat. Other than that, I prefer pork and chicken. Burgers don't interest me much like it used to.

I don't think I could ever go 100% vegan. I could do it for a few days but that's about it. I'd miss chicken and eggs.

I could NEVER be vegan, the smell of bacon would see to that....otherwiseI eat fish or chicken at least 5 times each week.

I wish avocados become cheaper. I don't think they're in season right now as they're so expensive! I miss them.
