awww....her home was relocated... are you trying to wean her away from that location?

purelife

I hope it's a successful move.  I'm sure she'll miss you as soon as you get home from your trip.

Awww....poor sweety.   Is there no way to get a 'live in' sitter ?  At least you wouldn't have to move her.  Is the place she will be staying, in the same building ?

A job opening in our company has just opened up again (it was once closed but now, this dept. is looking to hire again).  The Mgr called me up because he remembered that I once applied back in March.

Back then, I applied without hesitation.  But for some reason now, I'm feeling nervous.  I guess that I don't want to come across as someone who has betrayed my boss.  I know that they would be terribly upset if I got it.  I do know that I gotta do what I want. *sigh*

Lil Me

 There's nothing wrong with applying.

You can tell your boss, matter-of-factly that you're applying again...
because the Manager asked you to...

Seriously, purelife...you don't owe loyalty to your current boss.  The company would be silly not to promote you...they want to retain good people and keep them for a long time!

Think bigger picture- how your skills can benefit the company as a whole, not just within your dept.

Thanks for the support Lil Me and Michel.

I can't believe that I'm getting the jitters when back then, I wouldn't have hesitated.

I also met with the Manager for a brief informal chat.  He told me to apply soon (if I was still interested) even though the due date isn't until next week.  I was very surprised that he formerly called me to remind me about this position.

Maybe if you keep the cat in the wardrobe, she can go to Narnia for a week :)

Don't sweat it.  It's just a confidence issue.
You're GOOD at your job.  Don't let anything else in your life influence that fact.
