I survived.  Was stranded at SFU more than once due to snow- the road up/down closes- usually there's a windstorm/power failure as well, so you're sitting in the dark.

Funny story- just heard this from a very sleep-deprived friend who has a bunch of little kids.  She had a rain cheque slip from Crappy Tire and the store manager called her to say that the item had arrived and was now in stock.  She piled her kids into the car and went to Crappy Tire...only to discover that she couldn't find the slip in her pocket.  Well, you need the slip.  There was a duplicate slip on file (the store manager used it to phone her)...but noooo...that wasn't good enough.  You needed the original slip.  Poor woman was on the verge of losing it.  Then she found the slip in her pocket...moments before she went psycho on the store employees.
 
 I'm only laughing...because I've been there.

Ya know.....for places like that ,who practise imperfection on a daily basis, they sure demand it from their customers.  Sheeeesh !  er....I mean....HARUMPH
