That price is in U.S. funds, though.  We would be paying a lot more here.  Often you will find rebates offered there that aren't given here.

Well, 49er is American, so I assumed he was quoting American prices.  I shouldn't jump to conclusions, even if it is one of my favourite ways to exercise.

Unfortunatley for us, no 49er. we get screwed on the prices by an increase on top of the exchange rates. We also dont get the same stuff as you do.. I wish we did. Big ticket items I usually end up buying from the states, getting shipped to a post office box I keep just across the border, and then take a trip down when it comes it and bring it across myself.

isn't that illegal Russ?

kitten

You might have to pay duty on it, but it isn't illegal.  By the way, Cuban cigars are legal in Canada.  I think the Ivory referred to the soap, not an elephant tusk.

Yeah I realized that he meant the soap.  Also absinthe is legal in Canada while its illegal here.

Russ

No its legal. thats why I do it. LOL, I travel alot so it would not be in my interest to do anything that I could get charged with.

It is legal to have a post office box AT at post office in the states... you just register as such. I get stuff shipped to that post office cause the shipping is dirt cheap within the states, and expensive to ship to canada, PLUS you have to pay extra duty and brokerage fees at a flat rate. So you get it shipped to the post office still within the states, then you go down yourself and get it, bring it to the border and fill out the forms and pay the duties yourself. Even with the gas and time going across the border, its still more worth it to do that then buy alot of specialty items in Canada....[/DIV]

Why? Dont be so hard on yourself.. Im 27, and I learned ALOT once I got into my twenties. You are learning everytime you question something or post/ argue about it. I myself learn alot from this forum.. I didnt know that Absinthe was illegal in the states.. its pretty potent and dangerous stuff lol.

Give yourself some time.. you will pick up lots. Talk to others and learn.. Thats how I do it. Im on alot of other websites as well that I learn from.. Reading the posts and posting my questions or responses, I sometimes get called an asshat or an idiot.. but I learn from it. Dont take critisism personally.. learn from it. I honestly used to take it hard.. now I dont. Thats one thing that Cadets helped me do...

Give yourself time and dont be too hard on yourself.
