If we were to separate humanity into great minds and fools and put them on the two sides of a huge fence, and if the great minds and the fools of earth then were to reach out to each other and shake each other's hands, wouldn't this be great ?

Yes, it would be. However I have a feeling that the great minds would hold themselves above this sort of thing and the fools simply wouldn't be bothered to make the effort.
