EDIBLE NASTIES[/FONT]
You've probably seen
Tequila with an edible worm at the bottom of the bottle, but would you eat a lollipop with a
scorpion inside? Real scorpion lollipops are just one of the many edible nasties being sold by UK company Edible Ltd.
These delicacies have been researched and sourced from farms all over the world by Todd Dalton, the pioneering palate behind the company that spetgwpdes in bringing us unusual things to eat. You might expect these oddities to be available via some dodgy mail order transaction, or from the back of a van near your local China Town, but you'd be wrong.
Head to posh shops like
Selfridges, Fortnum and Mason and Conrad's Bluebird to test your tastebuds and your stomach. The Chinese scorpion inside the lollies have had their stings removed and are said to be quite chewy (as well potent aphrodisiacs apparently) and the lolly even glows under ultra violet light, so they're a perfect accessory for attention-seeking clubbers.
Also available are Antilix, peppermint lollies containing farm-bred Polyrachis Black Ants, which are said to taste similar to chilli peppers and Tequilalix, lollies with specially bred edible worms.
