Hi TehBorken.  I'm curious why I'm not showing up on the home page when I'm logged in.  Is this new?

  See?  No P.C.

Hmmm, I don't know. It might have something to do with the 20-minute period it mentions, but I honestly don't know. I was logged in but it didn't show me either, and it didn't show me on the "Who's Online" page as well. I logged out and back in and now I'm there. So I dunno, but my guess is it has something to do with that 20-minute time period thingamajig.

Hmmmm....I'm just noticing the time on these posts.  Something is amiss.

The 'Current Forum Time' shows 6:05 am, in the profile settings.

I don't know- it's possible you have a time setting that's off, or it may be reading the server time rather than your local time. I'll do some checking and see what I can find.

I didn't change any of the profile settings.  I tried to offset my time with the forum time, but that didn't work.  Is anybody elses times on their posts reading that it's still 6 am (ish)?

This probably explains a whole ot of other odd shit I was seeing but not really 'seeing'. Ack, I'm gonna go lay down for a bit and try to think some happy thoughts for a while.

The server had some sort of time mismatch by about 10 hours (!!!!!!!). It had a lot more serious implications that what you saw, things I won't go into but let's just say that a whole lotta shit stops working if the time isn't right. Credit cards, user apps, timestamping, a whole slew of things go completely to shit if it's that far off.

I was checking stuff and found that none of the credit card forms for other sites were working at all. You can imagine what the result of that is (besides a minor heart attack at my desk).

Oh TehBorken!!!! Are you OK? [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="vny!://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/liebe/d038.gif" border=0]

I thought something had gone amuck.  I was getting no little 'new post' indicaters......probably a result of the funky clock.

Is all right with the world now?

I think TB would like several kisses from you right now, PC. And throw in the panty and bra for added bonus.

Other than that I aged about 5 years in two minutes, yeah, I'm okay. lol

You were right, and I should have listened more closely to what you were saying. That's a mistake I won't make again.

God, I hope so, lol. I think everything is okay but I'll be watching some of this stuff like a hawk for a while. A nervous, anal retentive hawk.
