Someday, I am going to drink 35 cups of cocoa powder mixed with water and vanilla extract, as Montezuma did on a daily basis.  What effect does it have?  I'm curious to know.

This question distacted me when I was on a film set a few days ago.  We had to shoot the scene again, from the pole-dancing sequence.

Mentos?  I don't touch the stuff.  It has trans fats in the ingredents (hydrogenated vegetable oil).  Trans fats are linked to heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer's disease.

Make sure that you're drinking the pure vanilla extract...the real deal and smoke some weed.

P.C.

Sir Isaac Newton invented the swinging door....for the convenience of his cat.

Moolah!

If you drink 35 cups of cocoa powder in one day, you'll be doing more than dancing around that pole.

The woman dancing around that pole is much nicer to look at than me, I can assure you.

Why did Montezuma drink so much of the stuff? Why was his treasure room heavily stocked with cocoa beans?  He had a harem -- did that have something to do with it?

He was probably a chocoholic of his time. In all likelihood he started with 2-3 cups a day, then must've worked his way up from there.

Also, the official name of the cocoa tree is Theobroma cacao ("Theobroma" is Latin for "food of the gods") and as an emperor he probably equated himself with gods, drinking and eating only what gods would consume.

Because the Mayans used cocoa beans as currency.

Sure. The more wealth you can show off, the better you can impress the chicks.

Things haven't changed much since then. [A onclick="addImg('icon/icon_smile_shy.gif')" href="jvascript:void(0)"][/A]
