 That was my dinner yesterday.. todays lunch is a tuna sandwich on white of all things.. forgot to add the sweet pickles diced into the tuna sammy.. it was ohh so good.. and gone far to fast... I am still hungry...

Salad, Cole Slaw. Chicken & Some chips or French-fries but they still have the skin on them so they are not true fries more like potato skins or home-fries or country fried taters... . but they are not potato chips either. I am sad I wasted money on them because they were =( over done, they ended up in the thingy for landfill... apartment compost that's the word I want...  

I would normally return to the restaurant and demand a refund but for 2 dollars and for the heat I am not riding 8 blocks there and back 16 blocks total not for 2 dollars if it had been 5 dollars or something closer. I might have. But I am fatigued and overheated. it is just to damn hot. my mounted temperature gauge in the shade says28 degrees.

Tarter sauce and that other white meat which is the Baked chicken and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was undercooked. =(  which doesn't matter I can put in the oven and reheat it and cook it through  out for supper. but the skin will have to be thrown out fried chicken thats recooked will make the skin inedible..

Besides it's to fatty I really should of returned the meal it was a sub-par.. but the salad & the garlic bread along with the coleslaw and the baked chicken were excellent. It was only the fried stuff that was crap.. The BBQ chicken was excellent I really wish I had gone with a 4 piece of the BBQ instead of 2 piece fried and 2 piece BBQ.

The sauce was marvellous this time, not to sweet & not to salty. The Chicken gravy was to salty. bah.. Will save it to make some fried grits tomorrow so it wont get wasted. The tarter sauce had a nice tangy & zesty kick It was excellent on the chips I did eat. And for desert I had frozen sugar cane.. sadly it is canned and not fresh but oh it was so good..

I had half a can of it with 2 scoops of orange mint sherbet. I washed it all down with 2 giant glasses of heavily iced & slightly sweetened lemon Iced tea not the powdered crap either but the real brewed ice tea..

I am so full I still have half of a giant salad and half the coleslaw left plus there is still 2 more pieces of fried chicken and a half a box of rice. 2 more cans of sugar cane. 6 litres of iced tea.. 2 litres in the freezer in ice cube trays..

I turned 2 litres of the Safeway brand sparkling black-cherry flavoured water. Into ice pops or Popsicles they have 0 calories to them they are good in this hot weather.

I spoiled my self rotten with sheer decadence today.. If I don't do it no one else will so I deserved it and I took myself out.

Making a list might help. I make them for almost everything and a couple of days in advance. Except when I'm going away on a trip. My list is made a week or so in advance, then my packing is done 2 days before I leave with the little things being packed the day before.

I have lots of lists and notes. Cant always remember them in the first place.
Sometimes i dont want to know the list.

D, I ended up not stopping when I was out cause I was running out of time before a friend showed up to help me move some stuff. I ended up having pizza pockets.

Lunch yesterday was from safeway, the whole time the hag there was complaining about how its not her job to be a subway sandwich maker in a safeway. One of the other customers there told her to quit then. Man did she ever change in a flash of a second to a different person.

A semi full freezer is better than a empty one..

lunch was breakfast

ingredients double for 4 people halved for 2
4 - 8 white nugget potato's
4 - 12 British bangers
1 - 2 small shallots
1 large tomato
2 - 4 eggs
2 - 4 slices cheddar mozzarella Edam or processed cheese I use cheddar.
2 - 4 slices whole wheat bread

4 Small White BC Yukon or BC Nugget potato's with the skin still on them, just make sure you scrubbed them clean. In warm slightly soapy water. Rince well in cold water to make sure all dirt and soap is removed.

Now cut them into small pieces boil in salted water I use 4 cups water & 3 pinches salt or 5 mls which ever is less  I have them on a medium boil for 5 to 10 minutes or just until  they are semi soft. or to your desired preference, when done drain and dry on some paper towel.

Now dice up 1 Small shallot add it to the potatoes mix in 1 table spoon real butter let stand 5 minutes mix a little more make sure butter has coated it all. Now add 1 teaspoon butter to your frying pan. let it start to sizzle and starts to brown throw in your taters cook till golden brown. mixing with your spoon often.

4 big fat juicy bangers (The British One's)

Home made hash-browns From scratch With a teaspoon of real butter

Cook everything using the oven as a warmer. cook your toast last

Put the fried tomato rounds on top of the toast and cheese top with oyur egg serve with the side of hash browns and your sausage.. sit down and chow down

Eat till full or till you can't stand up which ever comes first.. smile you just ate one very unhealthy meal.. eat once a month unless you want to gain weigth then eat once a day..


Smile folks we live only once and to heck with what the nutritionist says, Eat what you want at least once per week.. and listen to the nutritionists the rest of time. this makes life much more enjoyable

my dad is very old and this was a classic breakfast in our household I missed mum's cooking and spent the better part of 1 hour in my kitchen reliving a classic British meal.. I just wish I had some black currant juice to drink with my breakfast to make it complete.. also missing is the porridge with apples cinnamon and some very cold from the ice box some sweetened clotted cream..
