  I think a lot of people jumped out of their windows today. Its like a nuclear bomb dropped. Flames are extinguished, its just hockey, not armageddon! OMG there are some dreary faces here.

 I always laugh at those people. Their lives appear to be so empty of substance as to allow their emotional state to be influenced by whether a hockey team wins or loses.  It just seems kind of pathetic to me to be so invested in something like that. Am I the only one that feels that way?

One place I worked the people were all chronic sports fiends- that's ALL they ever f*cking talked about, day and night. It's like the rest of the world didn't exist. When "their" team lost everybody in the place was in a crap-ass mood for days. Except me, I was blissfully unaffected by all the hand-wringing and bitching and moaning.
 
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

  Yes, I hear you. I am not into any team sports but hockey. I love hockey a lot. Not just to watch, but to play. I love cheering on my team too, (ask Chicklet), but its pretty sad when a family forks out $1000.00 to go to a professional sports game and if their team loses, its the end of the world? Damn, Iginla, as great as he is, will still get paid his 7 million/annually and he will be golfing in the Barabdos before the end of the weekend. Sad! Don't cry for the team, they still get paid on time.

I will admit to being attached to the Canucks and perhaps in an unhealthy way.  I was disapointed when they didn't make it to the playoffs and may have uttered some harsh words but I surely didn't let it ruin my day.  I've gotten over it and moved on.  I have great hope for the future.

   I love the Canucks too. But what people forget is, its "entertainment" and not something that is supposed to ruin your day if they lose. The world has some major issues these days, to let a sports lose ruin your day. To me anyways, its all in fun...

From what I've heard it's a team sport where people club each other with sticks on ice. Oh, and I think there's some sort of ball involved.
