It's my understanding that if you leave the computer on standby during the day, it uses less power than if you were to turn it on and off each time.  That soothes my ecological twinge quite satisfactorily.
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

Hey tekki-san!

  Boy do I miss everyone here. Hugz to CK. Haven't seen my puppy boy in ages. CK, if you're reading this, dropping by to say hello.

  Had a great lunch this afternoon. All-u-can-eat sushi. Am stuffed. Fish on Rice is awesome. Fat pieces of sashimi - the cook was generous today. Must be all that sunshine.

I had to drive half way across the state into "Germantown" where the german language is still spoken. Its also wine country out there. Had to pay a speeding ticket.

Hey Master Tenkani,

  Lunch is really good in Vancouver. So many competition that restaurants offer all-u-can-eat places for under $12 or less. No wonder my waist is expanding. (amongst other reasons - heh)

  Tired today. Went to get my ultrasound. Trying not to pee is a pain in the butt but heck, you gotta do what you gotta do.

  It's official. Lise is pregnant! YEAH. Baby looks good judging from the monitor. Asked if they could tell the sex and got a big fat NO. "We don't do sex check any more," was the response. Ah well.
