haha you know what the locals use the eiffel tower in Paris for? They bring their binoculars on a really hot day. lol

hum, me thinks local avoid the Eiffel Tower sduring tourist season... Perv tourists from around the world, might be another thing...

Anyway, no need for binocular in France, just go the Côte d'Azur...

In the beginning, you're going to miss Lise Jr, then later, you're going to have all this free time (somewhat) and you wouldn't know what to do with it.  Then, you'll be hearing stories from LiseJr of what happened in preschool.  And before you know it, she'll be singing "ABC's...." all the way home all day long non stop.  How do I know this?  My friend has a little girl, age 3 and she sings this bumblebee song in the car.  Cute. :))))

Lise

Ah thanks, SD. *blows hard into tissues*

I can understand my parents now. I can remember wanting to be independent from them, wanting to get married... must have been so hard on them to see their baby girl go. No wonder my father always say, 'you'll always be my baby girl' and I just get embarrassed.

Funny how the more you get older, the more you start to see your parents in a whole new light.

I love the French for their attitude of 'who gives a flying f.....k.' We saw a wonderful display of maturity when this gentleman decided to take a leek in front of a tree, in full daylight in a public park.

  Ah, good times.

Speaking of Southerners, I love Paula Dean. She's so loveable on the tv and I do, ah I say, ah do wanna try them fried chickens of hers. She's a great cook.

Quite an inspiring lady to move from rags to riches but she's such a hoot! Larry King asked her in an interview if she ever cooked anything exotic and her reply..."squirrels". Hand over them furball, ma and pa. LOL.

yeah, well sound drunk people to me. I remember one homeless guy in the Paris Métro taking a leak at 4 pm...yikes !

Lise

I'm constantly amazed at men who can take a leak anywhere. Marking your territory, eh? *snicker snicker*

However, I'm so envious of men who can do that when we go on hikes. It's like nothing to them but for us ladies... OMG. Is that leaf soft? Are we hidden? The toilet has a hole? GROSS! I hate, absolutely HATE going to the toilet when hiking.

speaking of mosqitoes when hiking or atv'ing on a trail avoid the trail that goes by a lake in the woods where the water is green.
