The part of Cali I lived in was pretty fast. Sunnyvale, kind of beside SJ. The slow lane there was about 10 time faster than anything in Vancouver.

Agreed though, don't judge California by what "reports" say. It is a cool place.

Speaking of not judging places by the cover, North America's first ever Outgames are in Calgary this week.

To be completely frank though, the marxist-leninist gay orgies around here are pretty outstanding.
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

I went to Santa Cruz...and didn't want to leave.

Lise

What exactly is in Santa Cruz that makes you don't wanna leave? And where is Santa Cruz?
Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.

Not far from tenk's neck o' the woods. I would post pics of it, but can't do that from work. There is a vibe there that you can't explain. You have to go there to feel it in person.

Lunch was teryaki chicken rice bowl with apples and strawberries.  I'm stuffed!

Lise

Weird vibes? I only get weird vibes when I'm around you, D. Nevermind Santa Cruz.

  That beach look so inviting.

Nice lunch, purelife. I just had sushi from T & T that I bought yesterday. Note to self: don't ever eat overnight sushi. Icky.

Haha! No, just good vibes. Interesting people everywhere. unique, warm. The boardwalk is pretty well known, you have probably seen it in the movies once or twice.

Sportsdude

I had grandma's hungarian chicken again. yummy

That's a good way to put it. Sometimes I think of it (certain neighborhoods in SC anyway) as Berkeley without the litter or mentally disturbed homeless people. Plus, Santa Cruz is the lesbian capital of the world. Actually, that sounds much cooler than it actually is    :(
