P.C.

Best burger I ever ate was a buffalo burger I had when we were in Deadwood.  It took a buffalo to give beef that real BEEF flavour.  If I didn't struggle to get through that burger, I'd have had a second.  My taste buds wanted more, but my tummy disagreed.  It was DElishious.

You'll like it there Lise.  It's pretty pricey for a burger.  We're talking $10 plus but all worth it.

I can't eat a whole one in one sitting.  I'm always back gnawing on it a couple of hours later.  Definitely worth the higher price.  I never get fries.

I don't mean to change the subject, but I was in that area during the long weekend and found this nice little store that sold fruit platter fondue.  It was so nice just sitting and relaxing having fondue with fresh fruit with a nice slush drink.

Some Chick

I walk by that every day.  It looks like a nice spot to people watch and it's kinda ... pretty.  I'd order the fondue just to look at it  :)

It looks so pretty doesn't it?  The best thing is eating it.  I could only have so much until my throat feels dry.

I think that it makes a great little meeting place for a nice chat with a friend or someone special.  It's different than the usual, "let's go for coffee....."

SC, does that mean that you work/live in the downtown area?

Some Chick

I live right at Comox and Denman and work on Howe.  I normally walk to work unless I'm in heels, but even then, the bus stop is around the corner by Starbucks so I always traipse around there.  I absolutely LOVE living in that area.  I've lived in almost every area of Vancouver including West Van, North Van, Deep Cove, False Creek etc.  But the West End is by far my favorite.

Having lived in Deep Cove, you must know the Raven. Dunno about their burgers, but thet've got a great selection of barley sandwiches.

It must be nice living so close to work.  If I was single, I would totally live in downtown area.

Some Chick

It's great living close to work  :)

And yes, I am very familiar with the barley sandwiches at the Raven, I used to go there on the occasional date when the mood struck.  They actually do have nice side dishes to the barley sandwiches.  Good cooks.

Someone mentioned In n' Out in California. Something about it? I was addicted.

Red Robin is pretty good. (Trying to think of a local place.....)

I mostly eat mexican food now, so I wouldn't know what a good burger is now anyway.

Sadly since most of St. Louis is super obese fat they'd say White Castle or Hardee's.
