  the reason I asked raor is because an IP that was coming up for multiple users may have gotten banned as it was being used by an extremely nasty porn poster, so inadvertantly some regulars were probably caught up in that ban... it appears to be an issue with how a certain provider pipes their traffic to the greater internet, I believe

Currently, if I've just signed on I manually check my IP before posting on DV just in case it's not that one.



It's a hassle.



With dynamic IPs like that one the sensible thing to do is to  place a temporary ban if need be.



Permanent bans, as well as wide range bans, end up excluding a lot of users, not to mention potential source of revenue for the site.

  I too have TWO computers blocked... and I did not do anything. But my laptop still allows me to post so thats ok I guess. Im on shaw.

hmm, I asked for an "unban" on raor's ip, and noticed someone on using that ip posting tonight.... if you are still having troubles raor then it is more likely a glitch and not a ban

  I have heard from a few people that were having posting problems recently, including one of the mods

  ...makes it all the more confusing to sort out sometimes, something about the way the forum software interacts with cookies

  I put in your request as well Raging Poodle, will wait and see if the problem is solved, if not don't hesistate to follow up with me as there has been an absolute ton of business through the holiday period so emails and communications could easily get overlooked (not to mention the new years eve events are a very busy part of the crews workload right now)

  Yes I have been posting on DV again since I realized that I can still post on DV using Firefox, but I can't post any pictures on DV using Firefox

  As for as regular 'Internet Explorer', which I used to be able to post on DV with (including pics), I still cannot post or reply using explorer...I'd like to find out how to be able to use explorer again for posting on DV.

  Has anyone heard of this kind of situation?  Thanks!

Yeah, I had something similar happen although it was reversed. I couldn't post using Firefox; only with Internet Explorer. And then...um...it fixed itself? Sometimes I really hate computers     :|
 
EDIT: I would guess it has something to do with a security  setting on the browser and it's possible I tweaked at it and then promptly forgot what I'd done (likely). Is there a geek in the house?
