Henry

U2    Beautiful Day

   The heart is a bloom
Shoots up through the stony ground
There's no room
No space to rent in this town

You're out of luck
And the reason that you had to care
The traffic is stuck
And you're not moving anywhere

You thought you'd found a friend
To take you out of this place
Someone you could lend a hand
In return for grace

It's a beautiful day
Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away

You're on the road
But you've got no destination
You're in the mud
In the maze of her imagination

You love this town
Even if that doesn't ring true
You've been all over
And it's been all over you

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
It's a beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Teach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

See the world in green and blue
See China right in front of you
See the canyons broken by cloud
See the tuna fleets clearing the sea out
See the Bedouin fires at night
See the oil fields at first light
And see the bird with a leaf in her mouth
After the flood all the colors came out

It was a beautiful day
Don't let it get away
Beautiful day

Touch me
Take me to that other place
Reach me
I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you don't need it now
What you don't know you can feel it somehow
What you don't have you don't need it now
Don't need it now
Was a beautiful day

Sometimes it runs as in the fairy tale,
wo's always well goes out,
where everything has an adding
and one of fate speaks.

And because you are lucky straight,
you believe in the Happy end.
It is beautiful, if you say that you love me,
even if I thereby think:

Everything will pass.

You think that you live eternally,
that you are safe here,
with all the many nice friends,
dear humans around you.
If the soil under your feet breaks,
gibt's no hand grip.
Whether you releases or whether you fight,
it tears you simply also.

Everything will pass.

The good and the heavy time -
nothing ever stops.
A hand fully luck is never enough for two,
one must take, which one kriegt.

I have no fear to die,
as long as you are with me,
but stop you not at my love firmly.

There's always something
In the way
There's always something
Getting through
But it's not me
it's You

Sometime's ignorance
Rings true
But hope is not in
What I know
Not in me
It's in You

It's all I know

And I find peace
When I'm confused
I find hope when
I'm let down
Not in me
But in You

I hope to lose myself
For good
I hope to find it in the end
Not in me
It's You
It's all I know

Witch
Lament of the Irish Emigrant
Traditional - Helena Selena Blackwood, Lady Dufferin

[TBODY]
I'm sitting on a stile Mary where we once sat side by side
On a bright May morning, long ago when first you were my bride.
The corn was springing, fresh and green and the lark sang loud and high
And the red was on your lips, Mary and the love light in your eyes.

'Tis but a step down yonder lane the village church stands near
The place where we were wed, Mary, I can see the spire from here
But the graveyard lies between Mary and my step might break your rest
Where I laid you, darling, down to sleep with a baby on your breast.

I'm very lonely now, Mary for the poor make no new friends
But oh they love the better still, the few our Father sends
For you were all I had, Mary, my blessing and my pride
And I've nothing left to care for now, since my poor Mary died.

Yours was the good brave heart, Mary, that still kept hoping on
When the trust in God had left my soul and my arm's young strength had gone
There was comfort ever, on your lip and a kind look on your brow
And I thank you Mary for the same, though you cannot hear me now

I'm bidding you a long farewell, my Mary kind and true
But I'll not forget you, darling, in the land I'm going to
They say there's bread and work for all and the sun shines always there
But I'll not forget old Ireland where it's fifty times as fair

And often in those grand old woods I'll sit and shut my eyes
And my heart will wander back again to the place where Mary lies
And I think I'll see that little stile where we sat side by side
In the springing corn and the bright May morn when first you were my bride

And the springing corn and the bright May morn when first you were my bride

Thank you, Witch, for that beautiful and moving poem.  The Irish do have a lovely way with words.
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

  I don't know you
And you don't know the half of it
I had a staring role
I was the bad guy who walked out
They say be careful where you aim

'Cause where you aim you just might hit
You can hold onto something so tight
You've already lost it

Dragging me down
That's not the way it used to be
You can't even remember
What I'm trying to forget

It was a dirty day

  A dirty day

  Looking for explainations
I don't even understand
If you need someone to blame
Throw a rock in the air
You'll hit someone guilty

  From father to son
In one life has begun
A work that's never done
Father to son

Get it right
There's no blood thicker than ink
Hear what I say
Nothing's as simple as you think
Wake up
This is something you can't get around
I'm in you
Moreso when they put me in the ground

  Those days, days, days
Run away like horses over the hill
Those days, days, days
Run away like horses over the hill
Those days, days, days
Run away like horses over the hill
Those days, days, days
Run away like horses over the hill
Those days, days, days
Run away like horses over the hill
