I think Myre's actually comes right out of Nanaimo.  (St. Jean's Cannery and Smokehouse)  but I think a lot of grocery stores carry it.

I know a few Quebecios girls and the owner and his daughter of the french place downtown. They love Nanaimo, so better then Northern France apparently.

they do have an event every year but it was a couple weeks ago.

just under 5k french speakers.
