I never miss the meteor shower. Last year we drove to the beach to watch because we have no sky.
*brings back memories. I remember once, when my son was very little, while we were laying on sleeping bags in the yard watching the meteors.....and he asked "Mom...what kind of meat do they eat" (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/3.gif)
Sounds lovely! Where's the best spot?
We used to take our sleeping bags and HUGE bowls of popcorn onto the roof of the Ebony Lounge to watch the meteor shower. And if I remember correctly....I used to get up there by climbing up the tree with the agility of a monkey.....lol. Now I get up there like a sloth......with a ladder.

Don't forget.....tonight is star gazing night. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/3.gif)
We're going to try to head out somewhere dark when my hubby gets home from work around midnight. Should be FUN!
Well hello Miss Chicklet ! How nice to see you !
I don't know what the sky is doing here.....but I have my wish list ready. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Very nice to see you too madame!
The sky here is clear. Yippee!!!!
Never seen a meteor shower before. I remember that comet years back, but that's it.
Yup it was in the winter, but its more famous for those dudes who wanted to hitch a ride on it off to meet the aliens or something.

I didn't see anything either Michel. It seems that I was more interested in viewing the back of my eyelids. Plus it was a wee bit overcast in the 2 foot square patch of sky that I can see from my balcony.
Well, we drove out to Aldergrove, found a dark field and saw very little. Maybe a dozen or so. Oh well, it's still a night I'll always remember.
Yep. We got out there around 12:00 and waited for just over a half an hour.
I saw a bat too! lol flew right by my car, thought I was going to turn into batman if it went after me.
Ha!
Those be fightin' words I think.
I'm always sweeping up bat poo off the balcony. [img onclick="selecte('rolleyes.gif');" alt=emoticon src="http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/blehnet/rolleyes.gif" border=0]
