This is a fun game.

These are pictures of famous brands who are only half dressed.  How many do you know?   Have fun. :)))

Hey, did you guys know that you can now have anyone (if met under criterias) to act as your guarantor?  We don't have to use our Doctors, Lawyers, Dentists, CA's, Engineers, etc.  We can put down our friends!  This made my day!  :)))     Under the new policy effective today, an eligible guarantor must:

[UL] [LI]Be a Canadian citizen 18 years of age or older;  [LI]Hold a five-year Canadian passport that is valid or has been expired for no more than one year;  [LI]Have been 16 years of age or older when they applied for their own passport; and  [LI]Have known the applicant personally for at least two years.[/LI][/UL] [A href="http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/news.aspx?lang=e&page=/newsroom/20071001.aspx"]http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/news.aspx?lang=e&page=/newsroom/20071001.aspx[/A]

It's quite often that we don't get recognized for our good deeds that we do for the day.

So, this is where I (or anyone else here) can bless you.  Don't we all love blessings?

If there was anything nice that you did for someone today, then please write them here.  I will bless you for these deeds.

Remember, it has to be for the day, not something you did yesterday, a week, month or years ago.  (though, you can share these too)

This is pretty freaky.  On three accounts, it was correct!  You must follow the steps as it is....

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, I'm tired of beating around the bush. I'm a beautiful
(spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I'm articulate and classy.
I'm not from [?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /][st1:place w:st="on"][st1:State w:st="on"]New York[/st1:State][/st1:place]. I'm looking to get married to a guy who makes at
least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind
that a million a year is middle class in [st1:place w:st="on"][st1:City w:st="on"]New York City[/st1:City][/st1:place], so I don't think
I'm overreaching at all.

Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could
you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around
200 - 250. But that's where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won't get
me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married
to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she's not as pretty as
I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I
get to her level?

Here are my questions specifically:

- Where do you single rich men hang out? Give me specifics- bars,
restaurants, gyms

-What are you looking for in a mate? Be honest guys, you won't hurt my
feelings

-Is there an age range I should be targeting (I'm 25)?

- Why are some of the women living lavish lifestyles on the upper east
side so plain? I've seen really 'plain jane' boring types who have
nothing to offer married to incredibly wealthy guys. I've seen drop dead
gorgeous girls in singles bars in the east village. What's the story
there?

- Jobs I should look out for? Everyone knows - lawyer, investment
banker, doctor. How much do those guys really make? And where do they
hang out? Where do the hedge fund guys hang out?

- How you decide marriage vs. just a girlfriend? I am looking for
MARRIAGE ONLY

Please hold your insults - I'm putting myself out there in an honest
way. Most beautiful women are superficial; at least I'm being up front
about it. I wouldn't be searching for these kind of guys if I wasn't
able to match them - in looks, culture, sophistication, and keeping a
nice home and hearth.

it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial
interests

THE ANSWER
Dear Pers-431649184:

I read your posting with great interest and have thought meaningfully
about your dilemma. I offer the following analysis of your predicament.
Firstly, I'm not wasting your time, I qualify as a guy who fits your
bill; that is I make more than $500K per year. That said here's how I
see it.

Your offer, from the prospective of a guy like me, is plain and simple a
crappy business deal. Here's why. Cutting through all the B.S., what you
suggest is a simple trade: you bring your looks to the party and I bring
my money. Fine, simple. But here's the rub, your looks will fade and my
money will likely continue into perpetuity...in fact, it is very likely
that my income increases but it is an absolute certainty that you won't
be getting any more beautiful!

So, in economic terms you are a depreciating asset and I am an earning
asset. Not only are you a depreciating asset, your depreciation
accelerates! Let me explain, you're 25 now and will likely stay pretty
hot for the next 5 years, but less so each year. Then the fade begins in
earnest. By 35 stick a fork in you!

So in Wall Street terms, we would call you a trading position, not a buy
and hold...hence the rub...marriage. It doesn't make good business sense
to "buy you" (which is what you're asking) so I'd rather lease. In case
you think I'm being cruel, I would say the following. If my money were
to go away, so would you, so when your beauty fades I need an out. It's
as simple as that. So a deal that makes sense is dating, not marriage.

Separately, I was taught early in my career about efficient markets. So,
I wonder why a girl as "articulate, classy and spectacularly beautiful"
as you has been unable to find your sugar daddy. I find it hard to
believe that if you are as gorgeous as you say you are that the $500K
hasn't found you, if not only for a tryout.

By the way, you could always find a way to make your own money and then
we wouldn't need to have this difficult conversation.

With all that said, I must say you're going about it the right way.
Classic "pump and dump."
I hope this is helpful, and if you want to enter into some sort of
lease, let me know. [/SPAN]

How many hours of sleep do you need nowadays?  Do you find that as you age, you wanted more or less?

Here's the recipe, ladies and gents.  The original recipe asked for 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg but I prefer 1 teaspoon.  It needed that extra zing.  Oh, and I figured out why my bread tasted too mushy.  I put in the whole can of pumpkin instead of a cup!  LOL.. next time I know.

Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch salt
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 egg
1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
1/4 cup canola oil
2 tablespoons shelled pumpkin seeds

Preheat oven to 350F.  Lightly spritz 9" x 5" loaf pan with vegetable-oil spray and set aside.

Combine both flours, baking powder/soda, spices and salt.  In another, whisk together the molasses, brown sugar, pumpkin, egg, yogurt, and oil.

Add wet ingredients to the dry and stir just to combine.

Pour batter and sprinkle pumpkin seeds on top.

Bake for 50 to 55 minutes.

Quick question:

When you receive a wedding invitation for either Reception or the Party, and then choose not to attend, is it courtesy to buy a gift (at least $50) for the couple?

I've been told that it is courtesy to do so.  What's your opinion?
#42
I heard on the news this morning that married couples are now at the minority according to Stats Can!  (omg, I am posting stats! LOL!)

Anyways, they were saying that many people are either divorced, separated or single parents.  If I heard correctly, they said that 1 in 4 are raising kids alone.

I can believe that.  I know many people who have been divorced at least once in their lives.

Boys drive better than girls.

Someone I know is going through a horrible time.  He just found out that his wife has had enough of the relationship.  She's been thinking about leaving for 5 years now but has never communicated this to him.  They have built a solid foundation together:  kids, property, businesses, homes, kids (8 and 9), friends, etc.  I don't know the entire situation but I think that she didn't feel together with him anymore.  He thought that she was happy.

It is truly hard to maintain years and years of a relationship (that "foreverness") with someone and still have that excellent communication and togetherness.  I know this one couple where after 20 years of marriage, decided to part seperate ways.

There seems to be no secret magic or formula to make lasting relationships.

But, I heard this one old couple (of many years of happy marriage) say "We hold hands together before we fall asleep together everyday."  That was their secret to a lasting marriage.

Under "What's New" on the Passport Canada website:  [A href="http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/index.aspx?lang=e&type=news"]http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/index.aspx?lang=e&type=news[/A]

I found that the Government is going to simplify procedures for renewing your passport.

The Simplified Passport Renewal Program will be available as of August 15, 2007.   It will allow Canadian citizens who meet certain eligibility criteria to renew their passport using a shorter form and without submitting documentary evidence of citizenship, supplementary identification and a guarantor declaration. Under the renewal program, passport applicants will only be required to submit the shorter form along with two new photos, the application fee and their last passport.

 More info here: [A href="http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/news.aspx?lang=e&page=/newsroom/20070608c.aspx"]http://www.ppt.gc.ca/newsroom/news.aspx?lang=e&page=/newsroom/20070608c.aspx[/A]

New Guarantor Policy

On October 1, 2007, Passport Canada will introduce a simpler guarantor policy, which will allow most Canadian adult passport holders to act as guarantors for first time applicants.

I saw this on the food network and the restaurant who sells these actually sell about 2 a week.  One couple shared it for their anniversary.  It was very intriguing to watch how they make this.  This sounds and looks absolutely delicious!  *sigh*

[span class="rss:item"][/span][a name="025490"] Made with "5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf, the sundae is drizzled with the world's most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela's coast. The masterpiece is suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries. It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color. It's sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac. The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon to partake in the indulgence served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a gilded sugar flower by Ron Ben-Israel." I just got this notice from my Employer to send all Staff.  I thought that some of you may be interested in the information.  $2000 tax credit per child sounds excellent!

[SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 8.5pt; COLOR: #333333; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana"]In its March 19, 2007 Budget, the Federal Government introduced a new $2,000 child tax credit providing up to $310 of federal tax relief per child to more than 3 million Canadian families. In the Canadian Payroll Association's (CPA) budget bulletin sent to members the next morning, we anticipated this new credit would impact employees when filing their personal income tax return (T1) in the spring of 2008. Since then, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) advised the CPA, and we are notifying employers, that employees should also be given the option of using the new credit (now renamed the Child Amount) to reduce their federal payroll income tax effective July 1, 2007.[?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /][o:p][/o:p][/SPAN]

How can you tell if someone is being geniune when asking for money or is merely a scam in disguise?  Do you not trust anyone even though that person could be geniune?

Well, yesterday, my guy possibly got "suckered" into a scam as he gave $34.50 to a guy.  This guy was from England and his flight was in an hour.  He needed to cash in a traveller's cheque of some sort from 16 pounds to Canadian which would have worked out to $34.50.  He initially asked for directions but conintued on with his story.  My guess is that my guy kept asking questions as he's a nice guy.  This British guy even had his mom on the phone and everything and she was crying that he wouldn't be able to get home.  Then, my guy just gave him $34.50 cash.

When he told me this story yesterday and then I shared it with my coworkers, we thought that it was a scam.  But, how could you tell?

Any which way, if it was real, then he will get a cheque back from England.  If it wasn't, then my guy learned his lesson to never trust anyone.

If it was me and I was alone, I wouldn't reach into my purse to grab my wallet because you never know if that person is just going to grab it and run away with it.  Plus, I rarely carry cash anyways.

  GOSH, $34.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are some things that you do that makes you feel sexy?  Care to share any sexy secrets?

I'm looking forward to Spidey 3 and Bourne Ultimatum when they come out.  I can't wait to watch these movies.

These are the scenarios:

$215.97 is paid every month on a 4 year term

  Another one:

Do these rates sound good?  How is the interest?  Does anyone know if this is a good deal or not?
