Has anyone drank this? I just tried it, Tetley Brand and it's surprisingly good. Kinda light and not too heavy on the palate.
I have...but I call it water. [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/bigs/c028.gif" border=0]
that's some funky water P.C.
Brown water is always.... interesting to taste. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/2.gif)
lol. Some places back home you can't drink the water. that's no fun.
What does white tea look like? (so I know what to look for at the store)
This is the one I'm taking. Well... sorta similiar.
Thanks Lise! :)))
I had some a few years ago (Trade Joe's). It tasted like fragrent water.
I prefer red tea. Like a good sturdy tea, plus red tea is caffeine-free, unlike green and white teas which have caffiene or have to go through a decaffeinated process to be caffeine-free. Makes great iced tea too (the American, non-Southern way).
Not come across this one, I'll start looking around - it sounds interesting.

I like red tea, too. Althought I don't like the flavoured Rooibos.

Me too. I prefer the plain red tea; none of those flavours like lemon, ginger, vanilla, or whatever. Prez Choice makes an excellent plain one.
Thanks, wyk I'll go there and check it out.
Is Red Tea a brand name or is it a type of tea?

It is a type of tea. LM was right in calling it rooibos. It is a herb, but a tea. [A href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooibos[/A]
This is the tea I drink, not only coz it's good-tasting but also cheap! I find that no matter how long I steep it (i.e. for iced tea), it never turns bitter like white or green tea does.

I'd get it just because I like the package. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Wow! Thanks for the info and yes, I'll be getting that one day. Hehe... looking at the lion makes me think the company wants to put 'hairs' on your chest for drinking their tea.
I wonder if that is what they call bush tea in #1 Ladies Detective Agency novels? Now I really must try it!
Yes, it's the same as bush tea. Love those books!
I've never had the real stuff in the very little teapot.
But I've bought the yerba mate tea bags in the States (cheap at Trader Joe's) and I don't mind the taste.
I never knew I didn't know SO much about tea.

It was this kind. They sell it in Vancouver, but it's expensive. I think it's less than $5 at Trader Joe's in the U.S.
Wow! That's expensive. No way I'm paying that much to drink tea.
BTW, how long does tea last in containers? I've got jasmine tea that's going on 5 years now... hehe... I think it may be time to toss it out.
What's mate de coca?
Is there a pic? Or a brand you buy? I'd like to check it out.
hmmm. Sounds interesting Michel.
Is it addictive?
Thanks for the info. I'll have to buy some next time I'm around Commercial Dr.
(had an awesome panini sandwich at Calabria earlier this week).
Thanks for the info Michel. Yes, I'd love to try some. I've got to find some more info on the net for mate de coca. If you could bring some pouches for me to try, that would be so nice of you. I'd love to try. :))
If I'm hooked on it, I hope to find some in the back alley. ;) hee hee...
Cafe Calabria also makes excellent expresso/lattes. I like their interior design. :)

I WISH I lived on Commercial Drive. (or anywhere in Vancouver...)
But I live in the suburbs.
Wow... tea has become so pricey, it's better to just grow your own. Who's with me?!?!?
Hydroponics.... er... would that work?
Oh yaaay, snort one leaf while driving on the roads of Peru. Don't worry, Michel, if I do go there, I'll be grabbing more than a few leaves for you. I'll bring at least one fine bush for you to smoke. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/12.gif)
Hmm.... someone speaks from experience? *wink wink nudge nudge*
It sounds like betel leaves. You know, the type that the Indians from India who chew the stuff. Suposedly has some narcotic attributes.
Wow, I'm impressed with the benefits of mate de coca...
http://www.peruherbals.com/3030/coca.html
I'm going to look around for that now.
Hmmm, I wonder if Granville Island would sell it... I'll have to check. SOON!
This site says that white tea is healthier than green tea...

I picked up some fancy foo-foo white tea yesterday. I had never heard of this until Lise brought it up. It's a pomegranite flavour. (haven't tried it yet....but I will)
