Muslims are free to have their own rules to follow, but why do they think we should follow them too? Those cartoons are so innocuous if they were made about Jesus they would barely merit a mention. But these nutjobs are killing over it? Way to make fundamentalist Christians look downright warm and cuddly. (err maybe not shudder)

Yes this is a family computer too, so the naughty stuff only comes out when the kids are at Gramma's.

Ay caramba! Scary scene![/DIV]I've tried to stay "off the grid" as much as possible where banks are concerned. About ten years ago we just got fed up with banks-late fees and all that garbage- and just stuck to cashing checks at the bank they were drawn on (can't really do that any more) and paying bills with money orders. That way we always knew exactly how much money was in our "account". Lately we've given in and got a savings account, but online bill pay is on the horizon for us. And credit cards? Never! I know what kind of trouble I would get myself into with one of those things. It sucks though because in many ways you become a second class citizen without one. It astounds me that places want to use them for ID and whatnot when it's so easy to steal someones mail and apply for one.

Tacoma is nice except for the dreaded Tacoma Aroma. I think it's a paper mill or something, we always have to roll up our windows driving through there.

I'm discovering having the internet at home is a vast bucket to pour time into.[/DIV]must watch funny videos...must post...must download more music...mmmmm...porn...

I like Gerhard Berger gluing Ayrton Senna's passports and papers together. Then laughing his ass off while airport security detains the racing equivalent of Micheal Jordan.

I haven't had a checking account in years. Checks will soon go the way of the LP record.

The 'necks should be very afraid of  companies like Toyota or Honda coming in because they will clean up after learning the ropes. Yes, that racism will be sickening.[/DIV]I've always loathed the IRL but I am definitely excited about Danica. Auto racing is the only sport where men and women compete on an equal footing and I think that's rad. I agree the hype is too much though. The expectations are way too high. For any racer to reach the level of the IRL and lead convincingly at the Indy 500, and run solidly in the top ten all year is a great acheivement. But the hype machine is wondering why she hasn't won yet. They don't understand that it just isn't that easy.I also love Emmo. I'll never forget the year he won the Indy 500 and drank orange juice instead of the traditional milk. Drivers are such corporate figures these days that everyone is afraid to color outside the lines and have some personality. Gone are the days of Jim Clark driving a rental car into a swimming pool.

Yes do it! I meet a lot of folks out here from the midwest.[/DIV]By the way I liked Milwakee when I was there. I was expecting another boring midwest town but was pleasantly surprised. I really wish I could go back to the Safe House. It was this spy-themed bar with all sorts of cool stuff to look at on the walls (much of it hidden or not obvious) and all over. They didn't publish their address, so you had to go out and find it yourself which was a lot of fun.

I lovelovelove auto racing especially F1 and other road racing type stuff. NASCAR left turn only-type stuff is kinda boring.[/DIV]Have you done it? I've only done some go-carts and other small stuff. And I've been known to get pretty obsessed with the Gran Turismo series from time to time.

My condolences. I've been through St. Louis and it didn't look fun at all. Just lots of WalMart-ville.

The stats page needs a Tops category.

Isn't that cool? If I see someone I like I stop and dispense good karma. What a cool idea. This site is filled with them.

I wish that was me in my picture.

If only. I do food service, so by the end of the day I'm just beat. I just like to chill and pursue hobbies that can be accomplished sitting down. Plus I'm inherently lazy as I mentioned in one of your previous threads.
