It's a silent film that's 45 minutes long, but if you want to know what Vancouver looked like in 1940 look no further. brilliant stuff

Bad move.

You can't syndicate a cable show (at least its never been done off the top of my head as that's the point in moving to Cable).
You will only be on at a certain time and not what the local tv markets put you on to fit their time zone for max viewers.

Okay, I'm shopping for Christmas presents, usually I do themes for my cousin (and he just buys random beer for me).  He bought a chopper to ride around so this year I was thinking 'motorcycle/wandering the countryside' films (in blue -ray).

So far I've come up with
Into the Wild - one of the best films I've seen of the decade
Easy Rider - obviously
One Week - canadian film

I know there's got to be more motorcycle/adventure films out there.

One film I'd love to give him would be Motorcycle Diaries, but my cousin isn't the type to watch foreign language films :( .

Anybody know of other films? (and yes I've already thought of the Great Escape)

Madoff got off clearly. I wonder if they'll put him in Gen pop.

Now that the most dangerous man in America Allen Stanford was apprehended he'll soon join the list hopefully by Christmas time.

lol she looks like she still uses branches from outside to 'put the kids in line'
[span class="first-letter"]C[/span]ontroversial comments on parenting made by Alberta Finance Minister Iris Evans in Toronto have triggered a spirited and emotional debate in her home province. [/p] Ms. Evans, a divorced mother of three grown children, told a business audience yesterday that, to raise children “properly”, one parent should stay at home while the other earns a living.
[/p] In a Wednesday speech on Alberta’s economy to the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto, Ms. Evans said good parenting means sacrificing some income to stay at home while kids are young, as her children have done. [/p] “They’ve understood perfectly well that when you’re raising children you don’t both go off to work and leave them for somebody else to raise,” Ms. Evans said. “This is not a statement against daycare. It’s a statement about their belief in the importance of raising children properly.”
[/p]In a tangent at the end of a speech on Alberta's economy to the Economic Club of Canada in Toronto, Iris Evans also went on to suggest a lack of education is linked to mental illness and crime.[/p]
[/p][a href=""][/a]
[/p]--------------------------[/p]heeeee haaaaaa[/p]So presumably mothers should stay home? Well then why the heck is she working? Oh and she's divorced, I bet that went well with the kiddos.

They all got exterminated.

[span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1244846252_0"]Alaska's Rat Island[/span] is finally rat-free, 229 years after a Japanese shipwreck spilled rampaging rodents onto the remote [span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1244846252_1"]Aleutian island[/span], decimating the local bird population.                          After dropping poison onto the island from helicopter-hoisted buckets for a week and a half last autumn, there are no signs of living rats and some birds have returned, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.[/p]                          Rats have ruled the island since 1780, when they jumped off a sinking Japanese ship and terrorized all but the largest birds on the island. The incident introduced the non-native Norway rat -- also known as the brown rat -- to Alaska.[/p]                         [img style="width: 351px; height: 466px;" src="[/img]  [img style="width: 462px; height: 346px;" src="[/img]

Hmmm reminds me of the 90s when conservatives formed militias. That movement ended with Oklahoma City (white, anti-government, taxes) and Atlanta Olympic (abortion).
