Do you know your Chinese sign ?
I am a dragon.
There are twelve signs in Chinese astrology, but everyone born in a particular year has the same sign, and each sign is for a year, not a month. Every twelve years, it starts anew.
Chinese astrology is much more complex than this, as you could easily guess. These "Chinese signs" is only what the western man in the street knows about it.
I am the malicious, sexy, too hot to handle.......................

I hear tigers are prone to mood swings though. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/3.gif)
LOL mood swings. Hit the right button and I'm Hiroshima.
Hehe. Don't I know it. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Happy/13.gif)
Hey, you're good with anyone under the Horse or the Dog symbol. My hubby's born under the Dog sign and I know they're very faithful and devoted.
What years where horse and dog?

Dragon
Go figure.....lol
Full of vitality and enthusiasm, the Dragon is a popular individual even with the reputation of being foolhardy and a "big mouth" at times. You are intelligent, gifted, and a perfectionist but these qualities make you unduly demanding on others. You would be well-suited to be an artist, priest, or politician. Some Dragons: Louisa May Alcott, SusanB. Anthony, Joan of Arc, Pearl Buck, Sigmund Freud, Theodore Seuss Geisel, John Lennon, Florence Nightingale, Pat Schroeder, Mae West.
Those aren't MY words, by the way.
For me....some fit. Some fit that I'd prefer not to fit.
I've always questioned the accuracy of these things. lol
As you may know there are five elements in Chinese cosmology: fire, wood, earth, metal and water. Your sign has to be complemented with the element of your year of birth. I.e. you could be a fire dragon or a earth rabbit.
The five elements cycle takes ten years, while each single element lasts two years.
Here's some more info :

Be careful, the Chinese year doesn't start on the first of January. The date of New Year is variable, and it starts somewhere between January 21st and February 20th, depending on the year. That means if you are born on January 15th, your sign is that of the calendar year before the one you were born in.
Go here if you want to know how your cosmic element affects your animal sign :

Put in your element and your sign, and click.
Don't give out your email address if you don't want it. It works without email address.
Hey MM, are you Chinese?
Didn't the USA nuke Asia?
What did they pu in those bombs? Sony Walkmans?
Oh, no! I'm a goat!
Goat
Except for the knack of always getting off on the wrong foot with people, the Goat can be charming company. You are elegant and artistic but the first to complain about things. Put aside your pessimism and worry and try to be less dependent on material comforts. You would be best as an actor, gardener, or beachcomber. Some Goats: Rachel Carson, Michelangelo, Mark Twain, Rudolph Valentino, Barbara Walters, Orville Wright.
Elegant? Dependant on material comforts? Not THIS goat. However I do enjoy gardening and beachcombing.
....and I suspect there's an Errol Flynn in there, just waiting to be set free.
Are you the one to do it?
Sorry PC, I've got to go, today's lotus-eating session is at an end!
Ummmm....er...aaaaa........
Gosh, look at the time !!!
Seriously....hubby is banging on the window. Needs more soffetting (sp?) cut. Gotta run.

As I wrote earlier, look at your element for additional information. Your description could be more accurate this way.
Hey Kitten......dragon sister. This one seems a little more accurate.
People born in the Year of the Dragon are healthy, energetic, excitable, short-tempered, and stubborn. They are also honest, sensitive, brave, and they inspire confidence and trust. Dragon people are the most eccentric of any in the eastern zodiac. They neither borrow money nor make flowery speeches, but they tend to be soft-hearted which sometimes gives others an advantage over them. They are compatible with Rats, Snakes, Monkeys, and Roosters.
Actually, I'm not brave nor am I old enough or rich enough to be considered eccentric.[/DIV]
Don't forget to include sexy as hell, Lady PC. (http://discoverseattle.net/forums/richedit/smileys/Love/1.gif)
Awwww shucks, Lady Lise [img style="CURSOR: pointer" onclick=url(this.src); src="http://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/konfus/a100.gif" border=0]
Hi, P.C. I hadn't realized you were also a dragon. I'm not too sure about some of the attributes of a dragon. I lack the health, I'm far from stubborn, don't get easily excited, have very little temper unless I've been driven beyond reason, and far from stubborn. Too easy-going, actually. On the other hand, of which I have several, I am not only honest, but I insist on honesty from my friends. Quite sensitive, but I won't show it. Brave? Not very, but if necessary for something I believe in strongly. People that get to know me know that I can be trusted with secrets or money. I have been considered eccentric for my addiction to science fiction, but I think in a lot of ways things I've read in novels are commonplace today. I've been taken for a sucker more times than I care to count, and yet remain optimistic. I have never been comfortable with snakes, but Snakes are another thing entirely. The rest I'm related to.

Lise, you and I would have made great lovers. (//forums/richedit/smileys/Teasing/12.gif) Goats and Rabbits are extremely compatible. Meet? hee hee...
Purelife, we keep coinciding on almost everything under the sun. Not only do we have the same value, we're also a pair of goats!
Really Gopher? You and I were meant to live for so much more...la la la la... (that was taken out of a song) hee hee...
but... SWEET!
Just earned yourself a blessing!
Thanks Gopher, you too!
So, what do I need to do to earn another blessing in an hour?
