Hi P.C. and pl!

Buntzen Lake is cool hey! It has been a long time. I like the fact it is so close to everything too.

LOL! aren't you a ray of sunshine today! kidding.

I have fun on the beaches. Especially when I was in Cuba. When you live in a cool, dreary environment for most of the year, a few days of R&R on a lazy beach is what the doctor ordered. But, yes, I could see it become boring after awhile for sure.

When I go on holidays, I always do a lot of daily excursions too.

Some people think mountains are boring too. Not I.

Thanks sports!

yes, I have yet to get bored with the mountains. The tempterature cooled down here, and it is so fresh. I love it. I guess I am too Canadian?? I think you appreciate the beaches and warm more too when you go to them only a few times a year maybe? who knows, every person is different.

I guess it depends what you are storing too? I have a massive storage pile too. Camping stuff, old photos, etc.  I try to get rid of crap I don't need though.

For me, just a busy summer. If it is not work, it is play time! Summer is a good time to shut your computers down and live a little.

OK, I made up my mind on the weekend about South Florida. I am staying put. I found myself just loving the cooler air and mountains way too much. I never realized, Miami is one of the flattest places I have ever been?!!  Calgary is far enough away, but an hour drive and I am in Rocky Mountain Peaks! Day to day living, I don't want +32 all year either. I love cooler nights too!

But, the really good news is, I am still going to help our division there get started and try to help build a strong workforce. So that means, a lot of trips there throughout the year. I will appreciate it come January.

Anyways, just thought I would give a little 'Devil' update.

It is all what an individual is into. All I know is I hated my condo with a passion. Felt like another sardine in a can.

sports, the second you have a kid, (not saying you should have kids or not), but your house fills up really fast.

I am not in suburbia either. My house was built around the WWII era. Big trees, older style, walking distance to my downtown job. But the houses are still pretty close to each other.

I think what P.C. has sounds what would be perfect for me too.

P.C., yes, yes you are spoiled!! haha! But I am sure you take nothing for granted. I feel you love your place.

I can't get youtube at work...bast*rds!

I will check it out later. If it is arcade fire, our radio stations play the crap out of them. You will love it!

Haha!

We should try that. Go to a hardware store and ask for some 2.4384m. lumber

They are a good band though, I don't hate them. I just never thought of Canada having an impressionable music scene?

All in the ear of the beholder. Ha!

I know I could use a spliff right now! Kidding...again..stuck in the 90s....

Oh yes, lots of bands out of Canada. Nothing too revolutionary to me. Arcade Fire sounds like early 80s new wave to me. Matthew Good sounds like he is crying, or about to cry in every song.

I never think of too many Canadian bands coming out with much original music...is this the wrong thread for this?

I just remember the 90s. Seattle had about 10000 amazing bands...Vancouver had 54-40...

unless you're going 130kph then it doesn't seem to take forever at least that's my observation for driving on vacations.
Oh for sure. On holidays I don't care too much.
