Wish I could say the same. We're starting off our new year with my mom needing bypass surgery on three clots, I'm in and out of court over personal issues, and my aunt recently passed away.
Hopefully the year will get better from here *knock on wood*

I hope things improve and settle out for you. As my friend says, "Look at it this way- considering how crappy things are now, you've got nowhere to go but up!"

And there is some truth in that. Oy.

Same to you all, I hope you have a great 2016.

My SIL just arrived last night, so the year is off to a good start for us.

Hope you enjoy your new job TB. Is it a long commute for you?

Maybe 30 minutes or so, not too bad.

Congratulations on your new job, TB? ???

Yeah, I'm having fun with it. I was just kicking around the house and kinda bored so I figured I might as well do something productive with my time, at least for a while.

Quote from: Russ on Dec 10 15 05:12Is this not a good thing TB? Or do you mean you arent running your own company anymore doing websites?

No, lol, I'm still doing that. I was just bored so I decided to go back to work for a while, but I'm still doing all my usual web stuff too.  I'm working in Redmond if that gives you an idea. :)

Sadly, the worst of all possible outcomes has come to pass and I have become gainfully employed. :(

What's up with that?

This is all very welcome news, because traditionally, orthodox Christianity in the United States has nurtured racism, sexism, homophobia and rigid attitudes. We need more freethinkers.

Agreed, 100%.

Have you ever tried it? Don't just write something off before investigating it.

I've never tried homeopathy, but I know that's bullshit too.

Contrary to popular belief, you don't always have to try something to be qualified to call "bullshit" on it.

Sounds like bullshit to me. Buzzword-laden bullshit.

Cars are fitted with a catalytic converter nowadays so there should be no toxic gases coming from it.
It used to be quite popular once to stick a pipe on the end of the exhaust and poke it through the car window while you sat in the car contemplating the meaning of life but the cat converters put a stop to that.

Don't catalytic converters also spew dihydrogen monoxide out into the environment? That stuff is super toxic.

I have just had an Ongar pasty.

I just had an angioplasty. I'd have rather had what you had. :(

Yes, it was like that but it really flew.

It was deactivated, but maybe it can be resuscitated.
