Lots of people asked for this on the previous version of the board, so here you go:

Here's how to set it:
Go to your Profile.
Under Modify Profile, click on Forum Profile.
Fill in the "Location" line, then scroll down to the map.
Enter your city or town in the map search box and click Search.
Click on the map to move the pin - if you don't do this then it won't save your location!
Click the "Change Profile" button at the bottom of the screen.
