Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) defended Republicans' willingness to shut down the government over funding for Planned Parenthood by [a href="http://thinkprogress.org/2011/04/08/jon-kyl-90-percent-planned-parenthood-abortion/"]falsely claiming[/a] that abortion is "well over 90 percent of what Planned Parenthood does." In reality, [a href="http://www.plannedparenthood.org/about-us/who-we-are/planned-parenthood-glance-5552.htm"]just three percent[/a] of its work is related to abortion.

So, CNN contacted Planned Parenthood's Judy Tabar to discuss this comment.  During the interview, CNN anchor TJ Holmes read a statement from  Kyl's office verbatim, which claimed the statement was not  meant to be "factual":

HOLMES: We did call his office trying to ask what he was talking about  there. And I just want to give it you verbatim here. It says, 'his remark was not intended to be a factual statement,  but rather to illustrate that Planned Parenthood, a organization that  receives millions of dollars in taxpayer funding, does subsidize  abortions.'

As I understand it, Senator Jon Kyl has been arrested twice now for sexual assault on a minor (both times with boys under the age of 12), but his political connections have managed to cover it up and allow him to escape prosecution each time.*

*Not intended to be a factual statement.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.
