Seriously, who would have thought that cutting out your own pacemaker might cause problems (like rigor mortis)?

A Chicago man has died after authorities say he cut his chest to try to remove his pacemaker. The Cook County (http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic/us/illinois/cook-county-PLGEO100100501000000.topic) medical examiner says 47-year-old Channing Askew died Monday night at a Chicago hospital. The Chicago Tribune reports ( http://trib.in/sflxJM ) that a doctor told police that Askew apparently had tried to remove his pacemaker himself. Police say paramedics were called to a group home where Askew lived when he complained of chest pain (http://www.chicagotribune.com/topic/health/symptoms/chest-pains-HEISY000012.topic).
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Incredible. Why didn't he give himnself a heart transplant while he was about it?
