Is there a computer security package that includes firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware and uses minimal system resources? Im running a really old computer so I need something thats really good with system resources.

Also, it would be nice if the firewall scans everything that you download.

Lastly, is there a security package that includes all this and a proxy server, for anonymous, secure browsing?

I'be been pretty happy with the Zone Alarm Suite, which includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, pop-up blocker and a software firewall. It has a much smaller footprint than Norton, which means it's less of a resource hog. I've been running it for a few months and download regularly from Limewire, which means I'm in a relatively high-threat environment. It's caught a few things and as far as I know I'm virus/spyware free.

I haven't done tons of research, though, so there could be something out there that's even better.

I don't know about the proxy thing.

Yeah I've got zonealarm. Unfortunately, even though its faster than norton, on my system its not even worth running it slows things down so much. Would be great if not for that, although it doesn't have a proxy.

I just got the Zone Alarm security suite. Got rid of Norton. I'd thought maybe I had a virus. Turns out the virus was Snor-ton.

LOL, I thought it was some sort of statement

I guess they took it back. Hell, I stole it fair and square!

Anyway, good choice about Norton. That POS is the worst.

Yup. A common question among IT professionals is "What the hell do I use to remove Norton?"

The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

If Norton was any good it would remove itself. "We have found the threat and it is us."

Reminds me of the Amiga.
