Brigade Days, 9:00 am - 8:00 pm.  It was August 2nd, 1858 when the British Parliament passed an Act to establish the Colony of British Columbia. More than three months later the new governor came to Fort Langley to officially proclaim the Act and BC was born. Live historic dramatizations will be taking place each day. Guides and volunteers in traditional garb will demonstrate and reveal a way of life that was coming to an end as the new colony was beginning. The event runs all weekend 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, with the traditional canoe brigade arrival at the waterfront on Sunday, August 4th at 1:00 pm.
