Actually we do get the scouts a couple times a year. It's jackpot city here for them. I think they have our address at the top of their list, as the last time they backed the truck in before knocking. As you know, it's not the most back-in-able driveway.

Yeh I just received my 100 $ finally, and the letter is in French. Gordon probably took French courses to write to me personally like that, this would explain the delay... I think I'm gonna buy a steak at Christmas with that money...

what happened? Today US$1.00 = Canada$1.20, only earlier in year US dollar was worth 99cents Canadian.

Lots of currencies have declined in front of the US dollar which is seen as a refuge currency since most of the world debt is in US $. Also, typical of Canada, the Western and Maritimes provinces have a Third world type of economy based on natural ressources (oil, minerals, fisheries, cereals, forestry products mainly), hence the best way for capitalists to try to keep selling these products on the world arena in competition with Third world countries way cheaper is to lower the value of the national currency, hence protecting profits but making the Canadian working population poorer on the world scale, so far by 20 % in a month.
