I didn't really buy much in the food department.  Mostly things like I mentioned above.  Parchment paper in HUGE rolls....cheaper than the tiny rolls in the grocery stores.  (great for baking and for cooking seafood in.)  They also have the little packets of salad dressings, jams, spreads etc.  Again....great for picnics or camping and travelling.

Zip-lock bags? Hmm..... I usually just buy them from Save-On Foods. If I really want some cheap-ass ones I get them from Dollarama but yeah, you're right about how useful they are especially when travelling.

I've always wanted to buy those little packets of jam for my work for breakfast. :)

I'm definitely going to visit this place now.  Sounds like it has tons of goodies.

LOL....I guess nickle bags are a thing of the past ?

They aren't zip locks.  Just gusseted heavier weight plastic bags.

Lise, I wouldn't compare it to Costco at all.  The things that I'm looking for there are specific to there.....I mean that Costco does not carry these things.

I don't think even Dollarama could come close to the prices for these bags.....(if they had them)

Some stuff at Dollarama aren't that good in quality too.  :(

I saw pregnancy test for a buck there but I wouldn't buy it.

That's so true purelife.  There's always something though.  I like the $1 pails for mixing mortar or grout or for garden stuff.  They're perfect.

I don't like to be wasteful....but I got hooked on the small size of the bags for popping half an onion back in the fridge.  I hated that they'd leave a stink in my tupperware.......lol.  Also the bread size for when I make bread.

LOL Lise.  I don't know if they're still there.

There are bread zip lock bags?  I know kiddies like those big zip lock bags to put homework in and pens and pencils.  Well, at least it's on their school supples list for the big size zip locks. :)

I wrap my onion in suran wrap but those half bags sound like an easier way to store the oninos.

MrPL's grandma gave me a ziplock bag that had tiny holes in it espeically made to store veggies in the fridge longer.

That reminds me.  I must buy some vinegar tonight to clean out my washing machine and kettle.

No no no purelife......these aren't zip locks.  Just regular bags.

Those special veggy bags you're talking about....are those the ones you see advertised on TV?  We've been thinking about giving them a try.  Do they work at all ? (if they are the same ones)

oops, I misread again... D'oh!

The bags look like this:

and I haven't seen them advertised on tele.  I saw them at Superstore.

They seem to work and MrPL's grandma loves em.  That's why she gave them to me to try them out too. :)
