Van

I don't remember a lot of these songs?

Since we are on a Seattle forum, I would like to take a moment to thank the Seattle bands of the early 90s that pretty much ended any type of music that was 'pop' in 1988. lol! Sad for hairspray companies as they took a beating after 1990.
When the End comes, don't worry if your party shoes are clean or not. Just make sure you have them on!

Only two really big faves.....95. Never Tear Us Apart, INXS  and 5. Sweet Child-o mine...Guns and Roses.

Oh! I like that Desire song by U2. I just noticed that one.

hmm new albums for inxs and george michael must of been out this year.

tracy chapman's song "fast car" is a good one. It still gets played a lot today on college radio, since its really a song meant for todays college scene more so then as Van said about grunge.

"We can't stop here. This is bat country."

Lil Me

So many cheezy memories!
Almost makes me want to put on my leggings, tease my hair up really big and go back to Jr High...

We sang "This song only has 6 words" over and over again to the chorus of Got My Mind Set On You.

Don't forget to pull your tattered sweatshirt off one shoulder, Lil Me.

40. She's Like The Wind, Patric Swayze

I can't believe he actually sang that song. Not  a bad one too.
Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry.
Bill Cosby.

Lil Me

Oh yes, that song about Patrick Swayze's "tree".

 [font style="font-style: italic;" face="Verdana" size="5"][font face="Verdana" size="2"]  She's like the wind through my tree
She rides the night next to me
She leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
She's taken my heart
But she doesn't know what she's done

Agreed. He was so hawt back then. *girly giggle* Loved him in Ghost. I don't think I cried so hard at a sappy movie before.

Thank God my college scene is over if what you say is true! Lol!

Then again, you say a lot of things that don't make sense.

Hey!  I know a lot of the songs from the list.

Van

ah! sports, now I know the song you are talking about. I was thinking Black Cars are better in the shade?? or something. Fast Car is a mellow song that paved the way for a lot of singer/songwriters of the 90s. Almost didn't fit that era of 1988 compared to the White Lions of the list.

  My confusion.

I was more poking at the hairspray rock of the 80s. The Poisons, Ratt, Motley Crues, etc. Grunge (I hate using that word), was refreshing! I am not a big fan of glam rock. But there is some good other music for sure from that era.
