Cahokia museum is awesome I would say, pyramids so up north, it's something ! And also you see the influence from Mesoamerica in the arts and decoration of Cahokia, not only in its architecture. I would love to go to buy the litle carved board that has a snake skin at the back, possibly a link with the myth of quezatcoalt and Kukulkan. My GF of the time bought it and I'm on her will for that piece lol !!!

Sportsdude

yeah I liked the place don't like going their though its not the safest place in the world.

I've been here: [a href="http://www.ftdechartres.com/page/page/1396753.htm"]http://www.ftdechartres.com/page/page/1396753.htm[/a]
granted its not completely 'authentic' anymore it was 'restored' back in the 40's but it is still cool. Still don't know how to say that everyone says Fort Charters even though its spelled Chartres. I figure its said wrong because near by towns are called Prairie du Rocher (said du Roacher) and of course my favourite Renault (Ren-alt) bwhahaha.

Sportsdude

Actually no, we had a good laugh (ok a little bit nervous one maybe). Can you believe it ? lol It still put a smile on my face just thinking about it while I type this reply.

P.C.

It is certainly an experience that most of us will never get....increasing the 'thrill factor'.  I think in retrospect, it would bring a smile to my face too.

yeah, it could have been a very bad experience, but it was not. Despite that, we saw 51 bears on that trip, and this was the only agressive one. This explain in a certian way the pleasure to see one very active.

Sportsdude

you know part of me wants to go into the bc wilderness set up a deer stand in the trees and start taking pictures of animals. But I think I'll just go to the zoo or the bears at the top of Grouse Mountain. lol

Although I really really really really really really really want to go to Tofino during the peak whale season. That would be AWESOME.

You'll be able to do that within a half hour of where you'll be SD.  We have bear and cougar in our yard.  (well....a cougar only once..... that we know of)

ah cool! yeah we have bobcats and coyotes here. I've seen so many deer they don't fascinate me. I've run into a moose before in Colorado that was interesting..

Hum by experience, it's as exciting as looking at porno instead of doing it... lol

Michel

When I go hiking I'm always a little worried about wild animal attacks such as from cougars [span style="text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold;"]or coyotes.
