Chief: Smith died of accidental overdose
Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental drug overdose after she was found unresponsive at a hotel, authorities said Monday.[/p] "We found nothing to indicate any foul play," said Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police department.[/p] Neither Tiger nor Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper immediately said what drug or drugs were involved in her death. Perper said the detailed autopsy showed no evidence of disease.[/p] Smith, 39, had been found unresponsive Feb. 8 in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.[/p] The weeks after her death that day were filled with public courtroom drama and private whispers about what might have killed her. Officials delayed releasing the autopsy results because of additional evidence, not publicly released.[/p] Perper's initial examination had revealed no serious injuries to her body. Perper said then that prescription drugs, but no illegal drugs, were found in Smith's hotel room, though he wouldn't identify them.[/p][a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070326/ap_on_en_tv/anna_nicole_smith"]http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070326/ap_on_en_tv/anna_nicole_smith[/a]

So both the mother and son died from drug-related causes.  The finger should be pointed at the noob doctors who prescribed all those drugs to Anna in the first place and the lack of medical record matching when it comes to prescription drugs for the same person by different doctors, although I understand from CNN some of the prescription drugs found in the hotel room were not prescribed to Anna.

Sportsdude

nope they were prescribed to her boyfriend-lawyer.

How does this guy still allowed to practice? Isn't it a conflict of interest? Sort of like if your partner was a doctor you aren't allowed to go to him or her.  Plus if you are a lawyer you most likely have more then one client, which he doesn't.

I want to know where this guy went to school and how did he end up passing the bar exam?

As someone who is considering a law career, I'm shocked that this guy passed the notoriously hard California Bar exam considering he can't answer simple law questions when he was asked by Larry King on his show.

Then to top that he's only ever had one client, Anna Nicole Smith....

"Anna's medications were prescribed "by a number of doctors," according to Dr. Perper. It is unclear if each doctor knew what the others were prescribing."

"Dr. Khristine Eroshevich...added to the list Paxil, Robaxin, Topamax, morphine, Cipro, Valium and chloral hydrate...How she got it to the Bahamas and why she thought Anna Nicole needed all this remains Dr. Eroshevich's call. But she did say in her "exclusive" interview with "Entertainment Tonight" that she administered it all herself."

"The secret memo was written for Anna Nicole under one of the fake names she used, "M Chase." The drugs listed in the memo include, Dilaudid, Lorazepam, Soma, Dalmane, Prexige and methadone. Anna Nicole Smith commonly used such pseudonyms when obtaining such drugs, to avoid attention from the media."

"At first she sent it from the Bahamas to Sandeep Kapoor, the Los Angeles physician who treated Smith under the pseudonym "Michelle Chase." When Kapoor refused to fill the prescriptions, sources say, Eroshevich sent the request directly to Key Pharmacy in North Hollywood, Calif.  It was also refused there."

I don't think Howard Stern had anything to do directly with either deaths.  He was a huge enabler though, one that didn't think to intervene and get help for either Anna or Daniel.  I'm sure he saw all those prescriptions and stuff, saw how spaced out she was (like in that clown video) and yet he didn't do anything.  Maybe he himself was addicted to prescription drugs, who knows.

not too sure how they determine this but...

  Perper: Anna's "Anus Is Unremarkable"

Along with the list of nine drugs found in her system, Anna Nicole Smith's [A href="http://www.aolcdn.com/tmz_documents/ans_autopsy_report_wm.pdf" target=_blank]autopsy report[/A] also bizarrely reveals that her "anus is unremarkable."

In the eight page report obtained by TMZ, Dr. Perper describes, in detail, the condition of Anna's body.

The report lists every mark on Anna's body, even tattoos. Smith's body art included the words "Daniel" and "Papas," a pair of red lips, a Playboy bunny, a combination of a Christ head, a bible, a naked women's torso and a smiling Marilyn Monroe among others.

[P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"][SPAN lang=EN-CA]Having an unremarkable anus means there was nothing wrong or amiss.  The medical examiner would have turned over the body, spread the buttock cheeks, done a visual check, then used an endoscope (the same tool they use to check for colorectal cancer) to check inside the anus.  They'd be looking for things like suppositories or stuff like that which could have been shoved up the anus and might have been a cause of death.[/SPAN]
