[/p]      The teenager left her house on Mondaymorning to walk to school but never arrived. Several hours later shebegan sending her mother text messages from her cell phone, claimingshe had been adducted and was in danger. [/p]The Jersey City PoliceDepartment, along with the New Jersey State Police and Hudson CountyProsecutor's Office, had been conducting an around-the-clock search forthe girl, relying on information relayed from cellular phone towers andthree men with whom the police said she had a relationship. [/p]At1 a.m. Natasha called her mother from a payphone in Brooklyn saying shewas safe but that two men had raped her, Chief Robert Troy of theJersey City Police Department said. [/p]She was taken to BellevueHospital for tests and her condition was not immediately available.Chief Troy said investigators were still trying to determine whereNatasha had been since Monday and how she had got to Brooklyn. [/p]Thecase had perplexed officials because in addition to the frighteningmessages sent to her mother, the girl was also sending more innocuousand friendly messages to friends. [/p]Chief Troy stopped short ofcalling the incident a hoax but said: "I feel sorry for Natasha and Ifeel sorry for her parents who had to go through this. I'm not sayingthat's going to preclude us from filing any charges." [/p]Two19-year-old men and a 20-year-old man, whom Natasha had met andbefriended at the Newport Center mall here, were cooperating with thepolice and were not considered suspects in this case. But, the chiefsaid charges could be filed against the men, who were not identified, pending further investigation. [/p]
