Sorry, so your point is that you were hurling ethnic slurs at a poster and got banned and that proves EED is a mod? Good luck with that. You can call bullshit if you like, I'm telling you that while I was a mod EED was banned multiple time and kept coming back under different IPs. He openly implies that he's a mod to manipulate his prey, and it works every time. This is complicated by the fact that not every DV mod deletes EED on sight. That IS a problem, but it doesn't change the fact that EED is a real human being (not just an alternate cyber persona) and does not have official mod status.

To whatshisface, I was banned for posting "porn pics".
I mentioned it to a mod in passing. I didn't request an unban but after seeing what I posted (which wasn't porn) they lifted my banned status.

I haven't posted as tenkani on DV in probably a year so if you see someone using that handle it's not me.

What you're describing suggests that some of the mods might be playing favorites when it comes to banning EED then.

So how come everyone ganged up and was acting in unison when it came to Orik, but EED gets a preferential treatment, with some mods banning him on the spot and others turning a blind eye to his antics?

That's really not how I would describe the Orik situation.

It went on WAY longer than it should have and I don't think anyone was really happy or comfortable with the idea of booting a fellow mod. No one really opposed Orik's firing at the end (after all that had happened) but it wasn't a matter of ganging up and acting in unison either.

The bottom line is that mods on DV may be called to task for things they do, but rarely for things they DON'T do. In other words, Academe and Orik were booted for actively abusing their power, but if a mod is simply refusing to re-ban a user who keeps coming back, not much is going to be done about it. That's just the way it is.
