PC World has a story reporting that Microsoft's Windows Live OneCare [a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 191);" href="http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,129521-c,antivirus/article.html"]came in dead last[/a] out of a group of 17 antivirus programs tested against hundreds of thousands of pieces of malware.

The [a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 191);" href="http://www.av-comparatives.org/seiten/ergebnisse_2007_02.php"]report of an Austrian antivirus researcher[/a] was released at the AV Comparatives Web site this week. Several free AV products were included in the test as well."

While the top dog ([a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 191);" href="http://www.gdata.de/trade/productlist/16"]G Data's AntiVirusKit[/a]) was able to find 99.5% of the malicious code, OneCare clocked in at 82.4%.
