is there anyway of getting vonage with out a credit card, i have to get it, i am in vancouver, bc and i want to buy it from a store?

If you value your conversations, I strongly recommend you get a decent land line so people can actually hear what you're saying instead of having your conversation interrupted every few mins with "Wha..? I didn't hear what you said.. Can you speak up? No, I can't hear you, can you hear me...? blah blah"

IOW, it's crap.

Recently I broke up with a potential friend because it was too frustrating to try to carry on a decent conversation with her. She blamed it on her phone (yet never bothered to get one that worked)

From my end her phone sounded ok. It was her connection. And she was on Vonage.

You won't be saving any money. You'll just be losing friends, and possibly business.
